About Us
The origins on J’s Silkscreens/Rhinoprint begins in 1981 in the basement of our owner, Julia (J). She started doing simple t-shirt designs and printing them on mesh silkscreens to make some extra money for herself and her home.
In just a few short years, her skills as a designer, printer, and business woman grew exponentially. Her small t-shirt hustle exploded into a full fledged business as she took new clients, schools, companies and brands throughout the Metro Detroit area.
Settling into a storefront in Eastpointe in 1985, J’s Silkscreens made it’s home there and opened it’s doors to everyone that needed a graphic design printed on shirts and other apparel. Starting out with minor and basic equipment, J worked to establish and expand her business above and beyond what a small shop’s capable of. In 1991, J literally expanded the walls of the company and grew her silkscreen team more and more with each passing year.
Since then, the J’s Silkscreen has grown in number and celebrates over 35 years of screen printing experiences with thousands of happy customers. We now have 9 highly skilled employees, a friendly sales team, full art department, and an online order fulfillment service. Our services range from screen printing t-shirts and apparel to window graphics and signs and banners.
Julia (J) Cadotte-Capps
CEO
J has been in the graphic t-shirt business for nearly 40 years now. She runs the company with a heart of gold and treats customers and employees like family.
Mike Salvatore
General Manager
Mike is a man of many talents and even more hats. He oversees the daily operations of the shop, of both production and sales. He’s been working with J’s for over 30 years with a drive and passion for screen printing and customer service.
Todd Wilke
Production Manager
Todd has been with J’s for over 30 years and oversees the direction of everything screen printing. He guides our skilled group of printers in the production process and ensures that every last order is completed with quality that is above and beyond industry standards.
Brian Danowski
Senior Art Director
Brian is in charge of all artwork production in the shop from creation to proofing to production set ups. He is a wizard in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and can create just about anything for screen printing, and the rest of out services. If you have any questions about art, he’s the man to ask.
